TOURNAMENTS

Anglers will have the opportunity to participate in 6-7 tournaments during the year. Tournaments are held on the first Saturday of the month. Tournament locations are determined by the TBJBC board members. Previous tournament locations include: Lake Seminole, Lake Kissimmee, Lake Harris, Lake Reedy, and Winter Haven Chain of Lakes.

THE CLASSIC

The last tournament of the year is the two-day classic. Anglers will compete in teams over the two days. This is also a time for end of the year awards and celebration.

TOURNAMENT PREPARATION

One thing to know about tournaments... they start early! Just before sunrise. Know what to bring.

Tournament checklist:
  • Life vest: all anglers MUST bring and wear a life vest
  • Fishing gear
  • Water
  • Lunch
  • Sunscreen
  • Rain gear

TOURNAMENT DAYS

Morning
On tournament days, anglers will come to the chip board (look for the lights) and get:
  • Their angler chip
  • Their boater's chip
  • Conservation bag
  • Black bass tournament permit (signed by the angler and kept on them while fishing)
Afternoon
  • Return your chip by the designated time to avoid a penalty.
  • Bring in your conservation bag of trash. You may include any trash from your lunch.
  • Stay for weigh-in and awards.
  • Appreciate anyone available to stay and help clean up, pack up.
